Amy Hevron Show at Blue Bottle Gallery

hevron_lincoln_bunny.jpg

Fauna and flora seem to be the favorite subject matter for much of Amy Hevron’s paintings and it completely works. Muck like Mark Ryden and Kurt Halsey Frederiksen’s work, Hevron’s work has a great story-telling ability; so much is going on in even the simplest frame.

Bluebottle Art Gallery is presenting her latest show, "America", September 1st through the 30th. The collection shows things that inspire her from the country –whether it’s an astronaut, George Washington staring at a cherry pie (George and the Cherry Pie) or a rabbit dressed as Abraham Lincoln (Lincoln Bunny).

If you don’t live in the Seattle area, fear not. The pieces, which start at $30, are also available online.
