Camilla Engman Prints

2007_12_04_engman prints.jpg

We gave ourselves an early present this year by finally purchasing the set of Camilla Engman's prints we've been ogling for months.

Engman is a Swedish artist and illustrator whose dream-like work conjures up fairytales, some good, some dark. These four prints, in shades of olive and red, are among her sweeter works and would be welcome in any child's room. They work together as a group or you could keep your favorites and give the others away as gifts

The set of four prints costs $45 and can be purchased directly from Camilla's blog or, in the U.S., from Twig.

We also love checking in on Camilla's blog blog to see what she's working on, see other artists she's discovered and, mostly, to see photos of her adorable dog, Morran.

Yes!

We (I...) gave myself the same present...and they arrived this past weekend. They are so textured and captivating. I think her work is well worth a good frame, so I went to my favortite framers, found this perfect putty (taupe, maybe) frame, fell in love with it, then halted the framer in his tracks!

It was such an expensive endeavor to frame all 4. If you have any good brainstorms I'm all ears - thanks!
