Creating a Masterpiece From Your Child's Artwork

We've seen some great ideas on displaying your child's artwork, but no matter how clever, at some point you'll run out of space in the house. This beautiful piece of art really grabbed our attention, but it's true brilliance didn't reveal itself until we looked closer.

It's an amalgam of miniature pieces of art, all cut out and mounted into one framed masterpiece. We love this idea. You could capture your favorite pieces from over a certain time period and archive them in this beautiful way.

Love this. But does anyone know how she did it? Are these photos of each piece of art, which are then re-sized to a thumbnail version?

i saw this on decor8 too. great idea! i think you're right JCohen, they look like they're all re-sized. i've got a pile of work i've been meaning to scan; this would be perfect.

I think they are photos, but it is hard to tell from the article. The final product looks so great!

Get out of town! I love this! And I know my girls would love standing there pointing to each little picture. I have a stack of drawings waiting to be scanned. This gives me extra motivation.

What if you took pictures of all the art and then had them turned into Moo cards? Then pasted them in a frame? Same sort of thing?

this is SO adorable...i love this idea!
i also did a feature on how to stylishly display your children's artwork...in my case, it was my sweet niece! :)
i love the piece i did for my hubby's desk...basically framing a picture of the TWO OF THEM with a great art piece that my niece did. it was, hands down, one of his fave Christmas gift this year...check out more on this here:

What a beautiful and fun, simple and colorful way to celebrate a child's creativity. I know that my children would love seeing a composite of their masterpieces as much as I would.

How effective!!! My son is turning 18months tomorrow and already we have collected lots of 'scribble' art work and this really does look impressive!!!
