John W. Golden

We're always happy to learn about new artists that appeal to children and were pleased that John W. Golden wrote to introduce himself. He's been creating art since he was a young boy and is known for his digital artwork (not to mention work for the Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Animal Planet and others). We're especially fond of his Cat and Dog series which captures the essence of many breeds in a playful way worthy of man's best friend (of course we're referring to the cats).

John's By Order of Management signs serve as gentle reminders of etiquette and house rules, at least for those members of the household who can read.

The Critter Series reminds us of a modern update of Thornton Burgess's animal characters (Jerry Muskrat, Reddy Fox, Sammy Jay, etc.) that we so fondly recall our father reading to us as children.

John's prints are generally 8" x 10" (give or take an inch) and cost around $20.

There are a few ways you can find out more about John and his work. You can visit his Etsy shop, his website or his blog.

I have ordered two prints from John Golden (the chucks in blue, and the two bluebirds on a stick), and they are awesome (although expensive to frame because they're odd sizes, but oh well). He's perma-favorited on my etsy. Super thumbs up to him!

Glad to see you are showcasing John's work. I ordered 3 critters for my husband for the holidays, just beautiful!
