The playroom in our house (aka part of the living room) is getting a makeover. We have everything we need save for a rug and some artwork. Moving a bookcase freed up wall space and we'd like to find a few pieces that are fun for kids but not overly cartoonish since we entertain in the space as well. The prints over at Milk Moon Kids might fit the bill.

Sarah and Lauren co-founded Milk Moon Kids and set out to "fill the gap between fluffy pastels and minimalist modern." We like Counting Zoo, a great numbers print to go along with an alphabet print. Our favorite, however, is "Good Morning Hunny."
Each of these is a signed, limited edition, hand-pulled print. The print is screen-printed by hand with custom-mixed inks. You can purchase them unframed or framed in a white wood frame with UV glass. Check our their website for other pieces.
As always, I get suspicious when I see an Ohdeedoh post fawning over an item without mentioning price. And with good reason. These prints, while lovely and whimsical, are more than $200 apiece. Granted, that includes frame, but still -- that's awfully pricey for something you and your kids aren't going to want around in five years or so.

Every so often there are artifacts that show up on this site that are truly remarkable and outstanding both in thought and craft. When these two elements come together the result is a keepsake that both children and parents alike will carry through their entire lives. Such artifacts can be considered priceless. These prints are indicative of a highly crafted keepsake and are priced quite fairly. Silkscreened on fine watercolor paper and limited addition I have seen these first hand and like a fine piece of letterpress I am apt to hang these along with my other family portraits as well as use them in my children's rooms. Very beautiful indeed.
