We can't quite make up our minds on Laura Ford's Nature Girls sculptures.

 
 

Whimsical and at the same time a little disturbing -- but somehow, in a good way. Maybe we're drawn to them because we're such fans of kicky Mary Janes? What do you think?

These sculptures are one of my favourite things in Ottawa! I adore a bit of whimsy amidst all of the bureaucracy.

They're in Ottawa? I'm sitting here, looking at them and thinking how excellent they are. I had no idea they were in my own city. Where are they located? I need to check these things out. :)

They're in front of the UK High Commission on Elgin St. - may be hard to see the red shoes in the snow!

They are excellent! I stumbled across them a few years ago. They are sweet and slightly disturbing. Great stuff.

That is so creepy!

I think it would be better if the legs weren't black - maybe green like the tree, or brown like bark or something!
