New takes on family portraits. Stephanie Nielson (aka NieNie) is a great source of inspiration (see some of her projects here and here), and now Cookie Magazine's Nesting blog offers a peek into her home. We were happy to see two creative ways Stephanie displayed family portraits on her walls...
In the photo above, she's made virtual wallpaper out of photos taken by herself and her husband. We love how organic it is with no need for frames.
Each year Stephanie makes silhouette portraits of the family and hangs them. The crisp black on white with black frames ensures this craft looks great in modern or traditional decors.

I thought I would mention that the darling Stephanie and her husband Christian were in a terrible plane crash this past weekend and are in critical condition ... their amazing extended family has asked to keep them in our prayers!
