Photo Stamps have been around a few years and, yes, they're valid postage (though they'll cost you a bit more). At Stamps.com you can upload any photo from your computer and they'll turn it into a page of stamps. A page of 20 1st class envelope stamps is $19.00 or $15.99 if you buy more than 2.

I think this is absolutely the most ridiculous idea for parents to follow up. It is a great marketing tool for the company to make parents spend money, and in the beginning I thought it would be cool in using a picture that you took that you have fond memories of, say your last trip to the Mediterranean.... but your child? Sure they look cool when there are 20 pictures of your cute kid on a sheet of stamps, but when you place that on an envelope and then that stamp gets smeared with all the black or red ink that the post office has to stamp it with, then, I don't think such a great idea. And I would not want my kid's face running about as a mail accessory. Sorry but I said.
