My little girl got something like this for Christmas, but it has a sun in the center that is a light and it mounts on the ceiling. She loves turning on the sun before bed and watching the planets go around as she sleeps. It has a timer so by the time she is asleep, it is off. She is very into planets and stars so this was a great gift.
