In your head you may picture your family on vacation gathered around a campfire or dinner table laughing and sharing stories. But your kids crowded around an iPod, portable dvd player or gaming system, especially while in transit, is probably closer to reality.

If you've ever shared headphones with someone you know there can be tugging, pulling and it can sometimes be too close for comfort - even more so with kids. Why not spend a few bucks on a headphone splitter - especially useful in the car when everyone needs to be strapped in.
Belkin offers a traditional two-way splitter ($3.99 - out of stock on their website, but also available here) or the Rockstar ($20, pictured at head of post) which splits five ways. Frankly though, if you've got five people listening at the same time you might just want to use speakers.
