When we first happened upon this all black Rody, we weren't so sure it was actually a pint sized version of it's big brother (or cousin Gyffy the giraffe). We confirmed our size suspicions over at the Chicago toy store, Rotofugi, just look how tiny this mini Rody vinyl toy is!

It's been awhile since we've been this excited to share a new company with you (well new to the US anyway). Before now, Little Nest has sold exclusively in Australia and we're glad they're finally sharing their design sense and products with the Northern Hemisphere. They carry pieces that are meant to last for generations and are new pint sized versions of their older, classical counterparts.

Recently Mimi of Shiso Mama threw a birthday party for her son Otis (you probably remember seeing his clutter free play room). Instead of letting mass amounts of children overtake her home, she threw the party at an old fashioned carousel or merry-go-round. The results are fabulous, take a look for yourself!

Growing up, our favorite ornament adorning our parents Christmas tree was a small pink egg with glittering snow and a baby deer inside. It captured our imagination each year as it was unpacked. Teri over at Giddy Giddy has been hard at work making her own mini holiday diy dioramas and has been so kind to share a tutorial to make your own!

Stay at home mom Disney, has a great knack for assembling inexpensive, everyday items into fabulous crafts. Her mother (like many), brought her over a 2-pack of microwave plate covers accompanied by the phrase, "I thought you might be able to make something out of this!" We're in love with colorful cakes today and have one more to share with you. We made this giant 3 and a half foot cake for our husband's birthday kids, yeah that's it kids—and it was more fun than a barrel of monkeys.
