Another thought is that shower curtains are one of the easiest things you can sew or are relatively inexpensive to hire someone to sew for you. So if you can't find something you love in the stores, head to the fabric store or even pick out sheets to use.

I would suggest a transparent shower curtain. We originally had fabric, but then as the girls got older (they're now almost 3), they wanted to splash around. So in order to be able to see them and make sure they were safe, we got a clear (yes, vinyl!) curtain that would keep the water out but through which we could monitor them.

My mother-in-law made our little girls' curtain with a standard clear vinyl shower curtain (one of the heavy duty ones) then she sewed lengths of polka dotted ribbon to it at the top. The result is the cutest shower curtain i have ever seen, plus it was completely customizable. You can find polka dotted ribbon anywhere in many different lengths. By the way, the sewing is really only a few stitches for each piece of ribbon, so even a novice could do it.
