Puj Tub

puj-1.jpgWe always dreaded bathing our babies when they were infants. Struggling to hold their floppy little bodies upright. Trying to empty the plastic tub without spilling water everywhere. Figuring out where to store the darned thing between bathtimes. Had it existed back then, we would definitely have given the Puj Tub a second look. This soft tub can conform to any standard bathroom sink, and when bathtime is over, it hangs flat.

puj-2.jpgMade of anti-fungal, anti-bacterial soft foam, the Puj Tub is recommended for use on infants between 0-6 months. Available in a variety of colors.

$99 at Puj Baby

Great idea. Not-so-great price.

That was my thought. I have a huge bulky tub that I use but it only cost me $15. So when he's too big for it, I don't mind donating it since I know I'll have gotten my money's worth. But $100 for a tub I'll only use for 6 months? No thanks.

We just got in the bath tub with our babies. They loved it! Nice skin-to-skin time, which is great for babies and parents alike.

Don't the taps get in the way? I never had any problem handling my baby in the big tub, once I was shown the best way to do it.

Try this:

It is 7.99 and does the same thing - works well in sink then bath tub, folds for storage-

I LOVE this tub. I have used the hard tubs too and they are too cumbersome for me and too uncomfortable for baby. The puj tub is awesome. It is soft, safe, and simple. The taps don't get in the way either. The price may seem high compared to the bulky tubs but IT IS TOTALLY WORTH IT.

We got a folding tub at Target. About $15 and didn't take up much room when not in use.

There is one for $12 from land of nod that I bought for a friend. She seems to love it. It doesn't fold or anything, but its inexpensive and useful. http://www.landofnod.com/family.aspx?c=265&f=1044&pc=65

Agreed. Seems like a lot of money for something you only use for 6 months and given the size of my baby, maybe not even that long. Cute idea though.

You don't need a tub to bathe your baby.

For the first six months of life, I showered with my baby daughter. Very easy and quick to do! Just cradle them in the nook of your arm, use the other one to wash them. Babies love it! It's soothing to them, plus it provides great skin on skin time, and you can nurse them in the shower.

As soon as my daughter was strong enough to sit up by herself at around six months, I put her in the regular bathtub with a no-slip mat underneath and voila!

We bathed our two boys in the kitchen sink on a nice soft bath towel. yes, you have to hold them up for the first few months with one hand - we thought it was fun. and their little legs and bum stayed warm in a few inches of water.

that's the way my mother taught me and we never had a single tear because they weren't freezing on a hard piece of plastic.

best of all, when you wring out the towel, it also hangs up to dry out of the way, no storage problems, LOL.
