Skip Hop's new Tubby is challengingBoon's Bug Pod and Frog Pod for king of bath toy storage. Tubby is a stretchy pouch made from neoprene with mesh panels. Both materials allow for quick drying. Jump below for a peak at Moby...

2009-01-28-whale.jpgWe like the no-nonsense styling of Tubby and the fact that its machine washable. Choose sky blue or orange. The description says it coordinates with the Moby spout cover, which is not yet available. Check out Skip Hop's site for more details.

We keep all our bath toys in a funky lime green colander that I bought for almost nothing - I just loved the color but it didn't go with anything in our kitchen! Needless to say when the colander starts to overflow I know it is time to pass on some bath toys. Meanwhile it is easy to clean (dishwasher) and the toys don't sit in it all soggy - perfect.

There is a picture of it at the bottom of this post if you are interested.

I've had bad luck with these bath toy holders that have suction cups. They never seem to stay put. Plus, they don't hold some of the bulkier toys like measuring cups and old rubbermaid containers. Oh, well. I love the idea of using a colander, though. We've been using the tiny washtub that we brought home from the hospital after my son was born!

We just got the Tubby in at fawn&forest ... and I just hung up the Tubby in the kid's bathroom last night. The main feature for me? It's machine washable (made of neo-prene) as we all know how grimey bath stuff gets.

The Moby faucet cover will be in stock soon. Hmm... Boon does have some competition!!

We have the Boon frog bath toy holder and we love it. I like it better than this one because the basket that holds the toys slides off the base, which is attached to the wall, allowing us to just scoop the toys up. It also has lots of holes for water to drain out of. Also, the lime color just went better in our kids bathroom.

Have the Skip-Hop. It falls off the wall with very few toys in it. If you put it on so the bottom of it rests on the edge of the tub, though, it holds just fine.
