We've seen this done before, but this one by Hillary Lang over at Wee Wonderfuls really inspired us to think about this idea again. It's such a sweet way to hang on to those favorite baby outfits.
We've seen this done before, but this one by Hillary Lang over at Wee Wonderfuls really inspired us to think about this idea again. It's such a sweet way to hang on to those favorite baby outfits.
While some people might find it difficult to cut into the cherished outfits, Hillary says it's worth it, and of course, she first packs up her favorite special outfits in one piece.
We also like the fact that she leaves the details of the outfits like buttons, pockets, and ruffles on the squares so that the original feel of the outfit is maintained.

What a lovely quilt!
Those of us who like the idea, but aren't likely to ever make such a quilt ourselves, can have someone else make one. I have a blog post listing a number of people who make quilts from baby clothes.
