Coverplayard

Let's face it- playards aren't the most attractive gear. And...not only that, but especially if you travel with them, they can pick up a lot of germs and be difficult to clean. Coverplayards conquer both of those issues at once.

The Coverplayards make the playard more hygienic because you can easily take them out and throw them in the machine.

They also come in a lot of pretty patterns. Two of our favorites are the Kelly (second picture above with stripes), and the Timmy Slipcover with aqua polka dots. (first pic)

I am a soon to be first-time-mom so please excuse my ignorance but I have questions about this. I received a regular pack n play to use at home and for travel. If only my baby is going to use the playard would I need this? Is this product only for people who don't own their own playard and have to borrow? Are they really that hard to clean? Thanks for any insight anyone can offer.

Heck yeah I would! Those prints are awesome. Too bad I craiglisted a perfectly good pack n play someone gave me just because it was so cheesy and ugly...

I would totally use one of these. There aren't ANY attractive and reasonably priced pack-n-plays out there. I love that I can machine-wash one of these really cute ones.

For charlita: even if only your baby will use it, you will want to clean it regularly to reduce the spread of viruses and bacteria from you to baby, from baby to you. Also, like with your drinking glass, if baby has an infection, you want to keep her play surfaces clean frequently so she doesn't spread things to herself! I've just used disinfectant wipes to clean our pack-n-play, but it's hard to get stains out of the fabric. Machine washable would really help!

I would make one myself, but I don't see myself spending that much on a cover. I considered making a cover for the regular pack n' play our son slept in next to our bed, but never got around to it. Now he's sleeping in his own bed, and I find I didn't really care all that much, after all. As for the square pack n' play we've got in the living room, though, that one may eventually get pimped.

I saw a square play yard from Regalo at a Kid to Kid store here in Phoenix that was a simple grey on grey plaid design. Wish I'd splurged and spent the $60 on it, but I had already bought the Graco Tot Block (older "ABC" version).

i definitely would. my baby stands up after naps and sucks and chews on the top cover of the play yard, so it would be nice to be able to wash it!

We only use the pack-n-play a few times a year when we travel. I don't care how ugly it is. If we used it constantly, I would think about a cover for looks and ease of cleaning.
