Modern Bedding By Super Natural Baby

2010-01-snblogo3.gifWe often see adult bedding that we think would translate well into children's or babies' rooms, but it's not often we find ourselves gazing longingly at crib sheets and coveting them for ourselves. But that's a testament to Super Natural Baby whose take on baby bedding is decidedly modern - almost edgy in fact.

Super Natural Baby has four main designs - alphabet, bird, daisy and urban. The daisy and bird designs are updates on classics, but wouldn't be out of place in a more traditional rooms. The alphabet and urban designs are our favorite and have an illustrated, graffiti-like sensibility. This isn't a huge surprise since the founding partners all come from art and design backgrounds. The color palette of turquoise, green, pink, yellow and orange is mid-range: bright and warm but hovering high above pastel.

We like that Super Natural Baby has chosen to focus on a limited number of designs as well as a limited number of products - crib sets (sheets, bumpers, quilts), individually sold quilts, changing mats and fleece blankets that can also be worn as ponchos (think super stylish Snuggies). All their products are designed and made in San Francisco. You can order from Super Natural Baby directly or from a host of online and bricks and mortar locations.

I've had my eye on this bedding for a while now, I love that the color combinations. They're still kid-like without being babyish and so modern. I love that the bumper can transform into a blanket for later-really smart. If you're going to spend all this money on crib bedding, it should be put to good use after just one year.
