Parents who don't plan to use a crib bumper have (rightly) complained that crib bedding is often sold only as whole sets when all they want is the sheet. We were reminded recently that DwellStudio now sells their crib sheets solo and we hope more companies follow suit.
You can see their fourteen single sheets here ($36 each).
We didn't have enough space to show you all the new DwellStudio products in our summer sneak peek, so we've included more images above now that the latest baby and kids collections have hit the selling floor.
FIRST ROW
• 1 Organic Poppy Blossom Crib Set
• 2 ID/Luggage Tags
• 3 Brag Books (they're also debuting photo albums and scribble kits)
• 4 Rugs
• 5 Wash cloths and mitt sets
SECOND ROW
• 6 Messenger-style diaper bag
• 7 Lunch boxes
• 8 Coated bibs
• 9 Coated aprons
• 10 Knit blankets
You can see (and purchase) everything at DwellStudio or look for them at your favorite local or online shop.
Wow, $36 for a single crib sized sheet? Really? The collection is nice, but mostly not so unique I couldn't duplicate the same effect for about $5-$15 in under an hour. And I say that as a person who loves pretty sheets and (sadly) has more money than time, these days. But even so, I would have a hard time justifying $36 for a yard of cotton with some elastic around the edge.

Who makes that doll in the first photo ? So cute.

Eek, that price is a little steep (even though I absolutely love the Gio sheets). Everyone should check out babybedding.com. They have lots of sheets in solids and patterns. Plus they sell everything a la carte.

It is also nice to have the a la carte sheet option because you may want a few to rotate when one gets soiled. $36 is a bit steep for me, but they are pretty.

i think the doll is by jess brown.
if only my son would sleep in his crib, i would love to dress it up with nice sheets. i'm glad that dwell is selling them separately, i love their prints.

36 dosent seem that bad. i truly use two sheets. one for back up. i have more but dont use them as they are plain white. if it were my first kiddo i wouldnt mind at all spending a bit. plus they use that sheet for a couple-few years...why not?

I hate to be such a sour-puss, but I never understand the worship of Dwell Studio. They have a few nice patterns and I understand they may have been some of the first to, say, use brown in the nursery, but it's all rather underwhelming. I guess I would expect more patterns and more of a range of products after all these years.
That said, I like their Target line, especially the armadillo stuff for boys.

Most "bedding" companies sell their sheets separately, its skirts, quilts and bumpers that are half way impossible to get.

Gap sells mix and match stuff in really good quality and the sheets are only $20.

Dwell used to sell separate crib skirts too. Two years ago that was the reason to choose their bedding( I didn't want a bumper). The quality is amazing! I bought on extra sheet from PB and shrunked, I hardly can put it over the matress anymore but the one from Dwell is still in great condition.

Carousel Designs also sells individual sheets, bumpers, quilts, etc. I love their site because you can design your own bedding and don't have to buy a set. They cost a little more, but they have great fabrics to choose from.

I'm not buying a whole crib set for our gender neutral nursery. But I have been looking for a plain, solid tan bed skirt without much luck so far. Any suggestions?
