Patchwork Blanket

2009-01-07-patchwork blanket.jpg
We were perusing the cozy crafts section of Martha Stewart and found this relatively simple project that might be good for a rainy day like today. All you need are a few old sweaters you don't wear anymore.

The directions are easy- just arrange the sweater pieces so that the patterns go in different directions and the edges of the sweaters face out to create a natural hem to your blanket. We really like the texture it creates when you use similar colors but different patterns. We're not sure we'd have that many sweaters in a similar color, but if you do- you can create this lovely blanket for baby or yourself.

Those bibs are adorable!!!!! So I'm wondering are these sweater pieces going to unravel? Or does the zigzag stitch keep the knitting together?
