As a cradle, the Slumberland, $579.99, is crafted in Germany and made from beechwood. The fun lines and curves of the cradle make a lovely addition to your nursery furniture.
Once your babe has outgrown the cradle, simply remove the mattress and stand it on end to create a fun fort. Fabric flags and a plush sheep are included to make the cradle-to-fort transition complete. The bedding also turns into a play mat for your child, so every part of the Slumberland does double-duty.
And if you're not in love with the color, it's is also available in pink.

I saw that recently, and I love it. If it weren't so expensive, I might have gotten it! But that's a lot of money for a couple of months of use as a cradle, and a lot of money for a telephone-box size fort that will be outgrown soon. Haba has other great tents and forts that work for bigger kids too.

We recently purchased the Haba Walker Wagon for our 10 month old and it is easily her favorite toy!! It's great -- quite heavy so it doesn't tip over when she climbs all over it.
