Headboard Decals for Kids Who Sleep on the Floor

Whether you're implementing a Montessori philosophy in your child's room or you have safety concerns, many parents choose to put their child's mattress directly on the floor. But perhaps you're not enthralled with the look. One idea is to try a headboard decal and trim a bit off the legs.

If you search online for "headboard decal" you'll find a bunch, but these above from Blik seemed most kid-appropriate to us - simple lines, bright, cheery colors to choose from and also available in twin bed sizes.

If you'd rather DIY, check out this painted faux headboard. Or if you like the idea of wall decor to accent a mattress on the floor, but aren't interested in headboads, see how Meg spruced up Finnian's bed on the floor with woodland decals.

Lovely idea! We will be transitioning beds in the next year and this seems to be such a wonderful solution for active kids. Thanks for sharing.

None of these beds are directly on the floor. What gives?

Very nice and very nicely done! I was considering buying a headboard but now I'm not sure anymore.
