Well you've got to have faith that your kid will never fall from the bunked with a design with no guard rail whatsoever. Silly.

I would think a guard rail would be necessary as well.
I would like to see the cantilever bracketing system used for something like this. Although I just peeped at the pic again and noticed that the bed is actually wedged into walls on either end so it could be supported from three walls. I wonder if they could be cantilevered on only one wall and still be strong enough.
