Your Favorite Baby Product...for You?

C'mon, you know you wind up loving a few of those products or toys even more than they do...the fact is, in recent years, there are just a lot of really great products out there for babies and kids! A few of our personal favorites below the jump...

Calendula Cream from California Baby. Great on baby's diaper area, but we've taken to ordering a jar for our bedside table to slather on our hands and feet before bed. Great stuff!

Erbaviva Baby Washbags We got these as a gift for our shower. Great for sensitive baby skin, they also feel great on adult skin.

Elephant Ramp Walker. We admit, this little guy has brought us a lot of joy every time we send him down the ramp.

The Carrot Seed by Ruth Krauss. Of course, we have to put a book on our list. There are just so many amazing children's books out there, beautiful in their simplicity and messages. This is one of our personal favorites.

Princess and the Pea Fabric by Heather Ross. We snagged this item on Etsy (sorry, it's all sold out!) to make a small pillow for our daughter's room. We've always loved the story of the Princess and the Pea and love this rendition.

Thanks to parenthood, we got to discover these, and our daughter's only 14 months so I'm sure we'll have lots of new favorites to discover in the future! What favorites have you discovered?

My husband started squirreling away all the Calendula Cream from California Baby when the kids were still in diapers... (the Diaper Care cream sufficed for them).

Johnson's baby oil gel (lavender scent). Great for dry winter skin, and not as messy as regular baby oil.

totally agree on the A&D cream...I use it as a lip balm when my lips get really chapped. They heal within a day! Also great for rough feet and cuticles.

Oh, just to clarify, I have a "virgin" tube (not used for baby's butt) to apply to my lips.

Aveeno Baby fragrance free daily moisture lotion - It's just right, not too greasy or too light, and no fragrance to get mixed up with my body spray. Even my husband uses it!

I also love the Burt's Bees apricot oil for me. I always use lavender baby wash and shampoo on my girls because I love the way it smells (nothing better than to sit and smell a freshly washed baby!).

I have a thing for the Schleich plastic animals, and heavily encourage their collection. My youngest loves them now, which makes me happy! I also like to read certain books more than my kids do, so I have recently added "Mama's choice" to nightly story time. They get just one more book, and I get to read what I want. Usually works, and sometimes they rediscover a favorite (Where the Wild Things Are most recently).

Ooh! Modern Mermaids "Healthy Hand Foamy." My fave germ-be-gone. Smells good, no harsh yucky stuff and I can share it with my kids. http://www.modernmermaids.com/category/Healthy_Hand_Soaps/c62

Also love the TruKid sunscreen, I use it every day. But of course, they are redoing the formula and it won't be available til Spring. Shoot! http://trukid.com/

Another vote for California Baby Calming conditioner--my husband adores it. Also a big fan of Mrs. Meyers Baby Blossom freshening spray...I've used half the bottle and baby isn't even here yet.

I'm also way obsessed with this corduroy velour dog I bought at Anthropologie and hope my son feels the same way:

Sudocrem zinc oxide cream from MOthercare. It's for nappy rash, but it makes any rash disappear in a few hours... I found this out this summen when it zapped the rash I had between my thighs from walking around in a wet bikini all day.

I agree w/Paris on the Schleich animals. I like them, but my kids don't care at all.

I just love this toy and so do all the adults who have played with it: http://www.eurotoyshop.com/Toys/SE-1580/Selecta-Spielzeug/Variola-ball-and-track-system.html

My two year old loves it as well. =)

It is visually stunning, wonderfully crafted, and so much fun to play with. Totally worth the money.

Buy now because Selecta pulled out of the US market...

I use Waleda Calendula Baby Face Lotion as an eye make up remover for myself. I had a hard time finding an effective "green" make up remover and it is great.
