apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

A Modern Family-Friendly New York Apartment
Martha Stewart Living

We love the look of classic pieces with fun, homey touches. Nashel, Chused and Benjamin's apartment is a great example of place that looks chic while still being warm and inviting and the playroom in the apartment definitely fit this style mold.

The foundation for the playroom is the soothing light blue wall. From there, brown accents fit seamlessly in. The most prominent brown accent are the roman shades from DwellStudio in their chocolate dot pattern.

The look of the room is rounded out with a collection of airplane prints, a BRIO Double Suspension Bridge set and plenty of fashionable soft storage bins.

Does anyone know where this print in the first picture is from or is it vintage?

@Michele McIntire - it's vintage. I have that issue of MSL -- it's a vintage pronunciation chart. The profile on their apartment is fab -- definitely recommend picking up this issue :o)

The rocker is The Ron Arad Tom Rock Rocking Chair. The poster is a vintage one that belonged to Nashel when he was a boy.

I was curious about the airplane illustrations that were taken from a book. Any leads about their original source?

My mother actually has some vintage school room charts that she would like to sell. They are the real thing and would look amazing framed in a childs room/nursery. The colors are graet! We just saw this issue of Martha and could not belive it. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Looks like Benjamin Moore "Palladian Blue" to me, but that's only a guess :)

Do a Google images search on it for comparison... if it isn't that color it's darned close!
