Maurice is an art magazine which is both sold in galleries and distributed to schools at no charge. Maurice features a well-known artist creating the cover and DIY-projects and contains articles written by people like Angus Fairhurst and Ricky Gervais. The target audience for Maurice is both children and artists.

Anorak, which calls itself "The Happy Mag for Kids", is designed by illustrator Rob Lowe (no, not that Rob Lowe) and is a psychedelic, comic book-style magazine with pages to color, wacky cool illustrations and a look unlike anything else geared towards children.

Lydia Fulton of Metropolis writes, "Of course, one wonders if the primary audience of these magazines is children or their design-savvy parents, but why not make a magazine that’ll impress at PTA meetings as well as play dates?" Either way, both Anorak and Maurice sound very cool.
