Ah, the kids' table during the holidays. Martha Stewart has some cute ideas that will both decorate your table, and keep the kids amused. These turkey shaped place cards don't seem too beyond our grasp, and they've got turkey trivia on them- a fun idea for any age.
Here's another simple one. All you need is a pinecone, pipecleaner, a few feathers, and glue to make this little guy.
Felt finger puppets on top of candy sticks. They'll add some fun to the table, and give the kids something to play with. (Though I'm afraid a lot of kids will want that candy before they eat their meal if it's out there!)

We will have one child at our Thanksgiving, my 2 year old nephew. To be honest, I hadn't thought much about how to include or entertain him at the table, but this is a little inspirational. Do you think a 2 year old would enjoy this as much as older children?

I really like the top one. When I saw it, I assumed that it was something that the kids could make for themselves, and that they had written the things they're thankful for on the tail feathers. At any rate, that's how I'm going to interpret it if I ever choose to have my kids do this. :)
