For many of us, our first introduction to capitalism was our own lemonade stand. Now you can foster your kid's entrepreneurial spirit while teaching him about charity at the same time. Yesterday's Washington Post tells us how to receive a free lemonade stand through Sunkist's "Take a Stand" program.
All kids between the ages of 7 and 12 can register for a free stand, get recipes, advertising signs, worksheets for tracking sales, safety tips and advice for how to run a successful lemondade business. Registration and participation in the program means pledging a portion of the lemonade earnings to a nonprofit organization.
Apparently, the program has been so popular that the first 10,000 stands have been given out already. 5,000 more are on their way. Read the article for more information.
I had a stand across from a busy Lafayette, IN, public pool that didn't have concessions when I was in third or fourth grade. My friend and I pulled the whole thing together and set up using a cooler, a wagon, two folding chairs and an umbrella.
Selling cups at 50 cents a piece, we cleared a couple of hundred dollars for the day's work.
Not bad at all.

Speaking of concession stands I just came accross a website that sells all types of forms for business licenses, tax registration and permits as well as concession stands permits. It is based in the state of New York but it serves the entire United States. They have over 50,000 forms in their database. The website is www.businesslicenses.com.
Good Luck!
