Sophie Demenge and Michael Ryan are the designers behind Oeuf. They live with their two children in a 2 bedroom in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Originally, the building was a sewing factory and the apartment one large open space. Michael transformed the space with walls. Marius and Mae share this room- the doors are refurbished hotel doors.
Designer Jennifer Carpenter lives with her two boys and her husband on the Lower East Side in a 900 square foot apartment. The boys share this room with an entire wall of built in storage. The family prefers a larger living room and kitchen and small bedrooms, and designed the whole apartment with storage in mind.
Lisa Albin, designer of kids' furniture line Iglooplay, lives in Park Slope with her husband and two girls. We are loving this dollhouse that Ellie customized with markers and crayons. The girls share a room, while Albin's office doubles as a playroom. Albin's favorite design pick- vintage chairs for her kids she finds on Ebay.
Jennie Argie and Andrew Thornton, the designers of Argington, have a three bedroom walk-up in Williamsburg. Almost everything in their house is designed by them or someone they know.
