Routines can make a home with children so much less chaotic. Now that school's in full swing again, having an after school routine for when they come home hungry and toss their backpack on the kitchen floor, might keep things a little more orderly...
After School Routines
We really like the simple routine Amy over at Blissfully Domestic created for her son:
1. Hang up his backpack and coat.
2. Wash his hands.
3. Get out his school work to show me.
She even created a free printable you can use to create an after school routine chart for yourself. It's available here.

the printable is so cute!
my son comes home, uses the bathroom/washes his hands, gets a snack & drink, and then starts in on his homework.
