Baby Love

2008-05-05-baby love.jpg
Baby Love, a Tradition of Calm Parenting just went on our list of baby books to read. Containing beautiful black and white photographs and simple advice, it seems to be a big hit with expecting moms on Amazon.

It's written and photographed by Maud Bryt who comes from three generations of midwives in Holland. According to the comments we've read, it seems to be a welcome respite from all of the information overload in traditional baby books- taking you back to the basics of what a baby needs. It also seems like a lovely shower gift. Find it here.

I've been recommending it for years -- I think I even listed it on AT:Nursery. Her photos are lovely...

I love this book. I gave it to my then fiance as a sort of 'test the water' conversation starter almost 8 years ago. It was one of the first times that he had ever even seen babies and real family life portrayed. He has gone from there to an expert cloth diaperer, breastfeeding supporting, co-sleeping, babywearing total crunchy daddy to two for now. He is baby addicted.

Thanks for noticing my book! I just started a blog as a companion for the book, as a 10th anniversary thing.
