D.I.Y. Kids by Ellen and Julia Lupton

Let your kids adorn the house. D.I.Y. Kids, written by sisters and designers Ellen and Julia Lupton, is packed with 90 projects for making things. The first thing we love about the book is that it's filled with real art by real kids - it may not look like a Martha Stewart photo layout, but that's really the beauty of it.

Geared toward children aged 7-12, each project is rated by difficulty, time, mess and cost. Projects range from sewing or adorning clothes to binding and decorating books and include other fun ideas like graffiti furniture, designing party invitations, and making magnets. You can see a large sample of project from the book on the D.I.Y. Kids website which includes a blog with lots more creative ideas.
