For kids who are exploring some more detailed crafting, an introduction to embroidery can start out simple and build to more complicated levels. The
napkins featured here reminded me of a project done with my stepdaughter, only her item of choice was a tea towel. Using iron-on patterns from Sublime Stitching, she worked on tea towels featuring birds and tiki designs while I stitched "his and hers" pillowcases. Click below for some of Sublime's new designs:
And, if your child isn't quite ready for this sort of thing...surely they're ready for you to make them something (a bib? a onesie? a pillowcase? a decorative banner?)
