We thought this book highlighted on NPR was appropriate in light of last night's convention and this year's race in general. Grace is both African-American and female.

After Grace tells her teacher she wants to be president one day, the teacher decides to take advantage of her enthusiasm and teach the kids at the same time by running an election.
Regardless of your own personal politics, it's an educational read that teaches students an important lesson about confidence.
