Katsumi Komagata Books

2008-07-21-little tree.jpg Here's some great eye candy for a summer Monday. These books by Japanese artist Katsumi Komagata are just so beautiful to look at, but they also tell beautiful stories: a story of a tree passing through the seasons and time, or a story that follows the journey of a tear shed by a child after having an argument with a friend.

2008-07-21-i'm gonna be born.jpg Currently out of stock is one of our favorites, entitled, "I'm Gonna Be Born!" It follows the baby from development right through the birth canal through the baby's perspective using circles of orange throughout to symbolize the journey.

2008-07-21-little eyes.jpg In the Little Eyes series, each book introduces a concept like shapes, colors, and numbers.

The books aren't cheap, but they will surely be enjoyed and later cherished as works of art. They're available at Enfant Terrible.
