Lotta Prints: How to Print with Anything, from Potatoes to Linoleum

We loved Lotta Jansdotter's first book - Simple Sewing - because it really was simple and it captured her Scandinavia-meets-Brooklyn aesthetic so well. And we have similar expectations for her current book, Lotta Prints: How To Print with Anything, from Potatoes to Linoleum.

Whether you want to add unique elements to your walls, furniture, paper or textiles, Lotta covers it all: rubber stamping, iron-on printing, leaf printing, stencil printing, potato printing, lino-block printing, and screen printing. Some of the projects are more advanced, but many are designed to give beginners confidence with instructions and tips.

Lotta's been doodling and drawing since childhood and you're encouraged to make prints from your own designs. But if you don't consider yourself artistic, she includes 8 stencil pages at the back of the book to use in lieu of your own creations.

Lotta Prints is published by Chronicle Books and is widely available at bookstores.
