My Lunch Box: 50 Recipes To Take To School

Yesterday brought the release of a new book that's packed full of inspiration for moms and kids alike and aims at making the daily adventures of lunch packing exciting for all involved. It's filled with 50 different ideas that are nutritious, delicious and guaranteed to keep you out of a lunch rut! Details after the jump...

The book is the brain child of Hilary Shevlin Karmilowicz and has the retro inspired illustrated stylings of Rebecca Bradley. You can pick it up from the publishers website for $16.95 or over at Amazon for $12.71 (on sale).

It comes with stickers for the kids and tips for moms and dads on keeping cold food cold and hot food hot, until it's ready to be eaten! You'll find thoughts of beefing up the regular cold cut sandwich and adding in fun sides and sweets without going overboard.

I sure could have used this this morning. My daughter's first-day-of-preschool lunch consisted of leftover Mac & Cheese and a kiwi.

Any chance the publisher would share a recipe to give us an idea of the contents?

The design is cute, but I would have like some sense of what recipes are inside.
