Are modern boys out of touch with the simple pleasures of being a boy? The Dangerous Book for Boys, written by brothers Conn and Hal Iggulden, was a smash hit in the UK last year and has now been adapted for the American market. The book covers "essential boyhood skills" such as finding true north, making slingshots, learning spy codes and ciphers, and tying knots.
It covers famous battles and stories of courage and bravery. In this digital, often sedentary age, we think this boys' miscellany is great fuel for creative play and a tool to connect boys with their fathers and grandfathers (Father's Day is coming up after all). Though aimed at boys, we don't see why many girls wouldn't enjoy this book too.
The book is hardcover and sells for $24.95. Order yours here.
