Apparently, even in this economy, baby registries are doing just fine. The Journal suggests it's simply because "people are still having babies."
Babies "R" Us, Target, buybuy BABY, and the smaller but popular Giggle in Soho, were among the stores visited. Overall, it seems like the experiences were mixed. It seems no matter where you go, the baby registry experience can be a bit overwhelming, but a broken scanner never helps.
