It's been awhile since we last checked in on L.A. artist Marisa Haedike. Now in her third year of making daily, yes, daily, paintings, she recently revealed that she's been working on a children's book.

It's been awhile since we last checked in on L.A. artist Marisa Haedike. Now in her third year of making daily, yes, daily, paintings, she recently revealed that she's been working on a children's book.

Petite birdie, Olive, has made many appearances in Marisa's daily paintings (in a variety of hats and disguises) and now she's starring in her own book, Who Are You Going To Be Today Olive? which Marisa describes as, "a story of a little bird just learning how to be herself."
In true indie spirit, Marisa is self-publishing the book. A limited run of hardcover editions will be available in August (pre-order here) with a softcover edition to be released later.
If you're charmed by Olive, be sure to see her gallery of prints and original paintings available through her Etsy shop, Creative Thursday.

She is fantastic!!!
