2008-03-26-turnanewleaflogo.jpgIn our quest to find the purest bedding for baby, we found Turn A New Leaf Inc. The products offered on their site incorporate the owners' philosophy of "conservation, sustainability, natural health and a lifetime (and more) of use."

We were stunned by the simple elegance of their Maple Crib. The handcrafted piece has no metal fasteners. Instead, it uses draw-bored mortise and tenon joints with removable mahogany dowels. The natural oil finish is non-toxic. Contact them for a quote.

We also like the Crib Futon Mattress. Each is made of natural cotton felting surrounded with wool batting in a hemp twill cover. The futons are slightly oversized to fill out a standard 28" x 52" crib. They are $250, but aren't currently available so contact them for more information.

The 100% pure wool Crib Duvet is free of bleaches and chemicals and covered with unbleached cotton ticking. Available for $90.

There are tons of other baby products available on the website including diapers.
