Whether you're giving your kid a time out for bad behavior, marking time before he or she has to relinquish a toy or game to a sibling or friend, or declaring 15 minutes of clean-up time, it sometimes help to have a visual, especially for kids too young to tell time. The CB2 15-minute "hour" glass can help you out. It's made of beaker glass and sand so should be in the control of an adult, but is a useful way to mark off small increments of time in a way that kids can understand.

It sells for $9.99, but if your kid does something really bad, you can upgrade to the true hour glass for another $20.
