"If you can do nothing else, clean your kitchen floor," we once read. Your whole house will feel cleaner. So, we're always trying to find quicker ways for in between cleanings. We broke down about a year ago and bought the Swivel Sweeper (yes, the one from the infomercial) at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Lately we've been eyeing these Steam cleaners-anyone tried one?

I don't know about the steamer, but I'm curious about how you like the swivel sweeper.

Can you use a steamer on Pergo type floors?

I have a bissel steam mop (http://tinyurl.com/33fsl3). I love it and I haven't used a chemical on my kitchen or bathroom floors in years. I do have to go around the baseboards with a rag though because it's not great with reaching into corners and edges.

Eliza- the Swivel Sweeper is "ok." I use it to quickly get hair up from the white bath mats, and occasionally in the kitchen. The one problem is the device gets covered in dust and thus is a real pain to empty out. Hairs also get caught in the spinning brush part but they include a blade of some kind to rip through it. Overall- kind of gross, but good for quick in between clean ups.

A friend had to use an extension cord with her shark because of the uselessly short cord. Small space or not, that's rediculous.
I have a Norwex moping system that I use and love.
Dry mop is microfiber, the wet mop you just put under running water and wring out. Cleans your floor without chemicals, safe for kids, pets and those with scent sensitivities.
