Argington Bam Bassinet and Crib

2009-09-bam.jpg

You've heard us sing the praises of our Stokke Sleepi and we wanted to tell you about a similar product new from Argington that also converts from a bassinet to a crib to a toddler bed.

It's part of Argington's new Bam collection which also includes a changing table, dresser and wardrobe (in white, ebony or bamboo - which costs a bit more). While part of the Sleepi's appeal is its oval shape the Bam is a more traditional rectangle with rounded corners. We're fans of bassinets with wheels and are glad to see them as part of this design as well, but we wish they'd kept them as part of the crib conversion.

The price of the Stokke Sleepi is prohibitive, but the Argington's price tag is a little easier to swallow. They're offering a "nursery value package" which gets you the bassinet and crib conversion kit for $585. To keep this piece of furniture relevant for a few more years, a toddler conversion kit is only another $99.

You can find out more about the Bam collection here.

Lovely; but the bamboo model (shown above) retails at $799.

I don't need a crib anymore, but I am loving that little toy tray. I could see one of those in the living room.

Oh my gosh, I love that! Wish that was available two kids ago, can't justify the price just to use it for baby number 3, but it looks really handy.

Wish this was around a year ago. We had to cross the Stokke Sleepi off our list because of the added cost of having to buy special bedding just to fit the oval mattress. I'm guessing this would take a standard crib mattress which would be much more practical!

Cute. We've been very happy with the Argington high chair and table/chairs.
