Arm's Reach Deskette Co-Sleeper

Cribs with toddler bed conversion kids are old news these days, but Arm's Reach is catching up with the game with their latest co-sleeping crib, the Deskette, which converts to a nifty toddler desk.

Like the other models of Arm's Reach Co-Sleepers, the Deskette attaches to the bed under the top mattress to keep baby close for comfort and to ease nighttime feedings. Aesthetically, we think the wood Deskette is a nice improvement over the Original model and the desk conversion seals the deal.

The Deskette comes in cherry, honey, natural, and white and sells for about $300.

We bought a second hand Arm's Reach cosleeper and resold it after our baby outgrew just 6 months later. We loved the cosleeper, but I don't see the Deskette as being a piece of furniture I would want to keep for years. What do I do with it between the time our baby outgrows it as bed and begins to use it as a desk? (The desk seems too high for the little girl in the photo. So it will be the right height for, say, a 3 year old.)
