I'm not sure if anyone else has seen it, but my local Babies 'R Us is now carrying a number of new mod bedding sets (a few from Skip Hop, also the MiGi stuff, but also a few others whose names I can't recall). Only some of these are available on their web site, but if you check out babiesrus.com and search for Skip Hop, you'll see at least one of the bedding sets. They're alos offering the Baby Italia Scandi collection, though it's not available on their web site yet. (It was advertised in a print flyer I got long before any of these items showed up online.)

Those Target cribs are making me regret purchasing the BabyMod at WallyWorld, but in the end I'm very happy with the look of our nursery. Still wish this stuff had been available a few months ago, though!

P.S. Here's the Baby Italia Scandi line, which will soon be available at babiesrus.com (and possibly in-store, too) http://www.babiitalia.com/html/bi_sc.html

saltyc,
Me too = )

I love this modern line. I've been mulling the thought of making my own crib but with all these (hopefully) affordable options coming out the future is looking bright!

I have a feeling it is coming soon! Target has all of the Amy Coe stuff on Clearance at 50% off at our store, and some of the other bedding too.

Same question - I would like to see them in person. I like the first bed from Dwell and the italian one on the link. Less prison like than the usual ones with railing all around... :-)

My Target had some of the items today. Mostly blankets and pillows, and some really nice boppies and receiving blankets.

I absolutely love this!!!

I went to my local Target today and they had a few things from the Zoo and Olivia collection. They have a lot of things on sale, I guess to make room for the new Dwell Studio collection.

Any idea when these items will be available at Target? I LOVE the cribs and dresser, and nursery furniture has been out biggest challenge. I'm due next month! If anyone finds out when we can actually see, touch, purchase... please pass it along!

Anyone peeved by the fact that it is not Dwell Magazine's line? The packaging looks like a different "Dwell" one that tries to capitalize on Dwell Magazine. I like the Dwell/Target line, but I wish it was really Dwell and not an imitator of our Dwell aesthetic.

my sister-in-law and i drove from vancouver to bellingham the other day to possibly buy a crib and crib set. this was a huge target store but all they had was dwell onesies and washcloths. what a waste of a day. thanks for nothing target!

alexpdl, dwell studio has been around for years and has nothing to do with dwell the magazine. it's not imitating or claiming to have anything to do with the magazine.

ps. the loeffler randall target line is cheap looking and vinyl. again, thanks for nothing target!

I just wanted to post a warning about a couple of the Dwell Baby at Target furniture pieces.

I ordered the Silver Lake crib and dresser about 30 minutes after they first came online. They finally arrived last Friday and I put them together over the weekend. The quality is mediocre at best. The dresser is the more disappointing, quality wise, of the two (it's as light as a feather) but they do look cute and since I'm on my third baby, I figured I could live with the downside.

My biggest complaint is the SMELL!! The pieces stink. I live in Northern California and have had the pieces sitting outside until last night, as it is raining today. The smell of glue is sickening. If you live in a location where you can't air the pieces out, I would NOT suggest purchasing these pieces. If the smell isn't gone within 2 weeks, when my daughter is scheduled to arrive, the pieces will be going back to Target.

I am completely disappointed in the Target Dwell Baby Collection!!! Was not surprised to read that the quality was mediocre.

I ordered Silverlake crib the day it came online. After many shipping delay notices, I had to follow up with Target customer service only to be told that the package was lost, the crib is now out of stock and cannot be replaced.

The crib bedding I received is not uniform with the color of the bed skirt or the accessories. I am returning all the bedding and accessories I ordered.

This is so frustrating, especially with a baby well on its way in the next few weeks! It's just not worth the hassle to save the money!

Buyer beware! Something stinks at the Target corporation and its not just the Silverlake glue!!!

I too ordered the Silverlake crib during the very short time period it was available online. After receiving a "confirmation" that my order had been shipped I waited and waited . . . Finally I spoke with Target Customer Service yesterday and was given the same response as pdnyc . . . the crib and dresser were lost, out of stock and cannot be replaced. Per Target, this problem occurs "less than 1% of the time". Hmm, that would seem a statistical impossibility given both pdnyc's and my experience.

After reading this thread I don't know whether to be sorry I didn't receive the furniture after all . . .

I too had a bad experience ordering the Target Silver Lake Crib. My first order never came and I finally called and they stated that UPS was notified to pick up the crib and they didn't do so. Well the customer service rep re-ordered another and stated it should be here early this week. I decided to call Target because I had a bad feeling this one wasn't shipped out either and wouldn't you know it.....It's out of stock now!!! So, I need to cancel my order and get a refund. I found an awesome crib on JCPenney.com. It's the Sweet Pea Modern Crib. On sale and I have a code for free shipping!

Sounds like Target has their story down - a good friend of mine ordered the crib, and upon delivery date got the same tale of a lost shipment. Sounds suspicious.

My Target Silver Lake (HoneyOak/White finish) crib just came in today. I was expecting the Honey Oak sides to be solid, but there are cut-outs in them. It's not ugly or anything, it's just different than the picture portrays. Are they all like that? Also, they forgot to send page one of the instruction manual. Very frustrating when I'm anxious to put it together. Does anyone have the manual to email that first page to me? Help!

You get what you pay for!
I have the Silver Lake crib and Dwell Studio Circles bedding and I love them! The assembly instructions for the crib were a bit confusing (Ikea does a much better job) but other than that I have no complaints.
I've worked in the furniture industry for over 10 years and in my experience off gassing is normal and common. It disipates after a day or so. You may experience odors even in high end furniture. Sometimes it's due to the packaging material.
I decided to purchase an inexpensive crib because it is only used for a couple of years at most. Why spend a thousand dollars or more?
The Dwell Studio line is a great resource for inexpensive modern nursery design.
