Lalapanzi beds are meant to use as travel beds. They are designed to fit into standard-sized cribs so babies can get used to them. But we think this might be a good option for parents who are small on space or delaying purchasing a crib.
The Lalapanzi comes in two sizes - small and large. The small bed is suitable for newborns to 6-month old babies who are less than 27 inches tall and weigh less than 17 pounds. The arge bed fits newborns to 1-year old babies who are less than 32 inches tall and weigh less than 22 lbs.
Check out all the great colors and patterns. In addition, we like the fact that it's machine washable. The beds start at $167 and are available here.
I recommend the peapod bed--it can be used for much longer (I used from birth to 20 months and just now we are transitioning to the biggest size peapod bed.
If you are traveling to a home (as opposed to a hotel) with a new born (under 2 months/not rolling over yet) I just use their close hamper and line it with a soft blanket. The other thing I have done in a pinch is use the ring sling or wrap as a hammock--works like a charm.

I love this! This is much better looking than a moses basket. I just registered for this and plan to put it in our room so we won't need a bassinet.
