Pomme

Another awesome store in Brooklyn is shoppable for us all - the stylish childrens shop Pomme has a nice selection of its goods available online, too. You won't find cyber aisles full of toys; just a small collection of well-designed products for little ones.

If you're looking for a splurge this holiday season, consider the Thing 4 Garage by Momoll (shown above). The pieces slot together without the need for a screwdriver. Thing 4 Garage is $425.

How about this Lacquered Doll Bed? Your baby's baby can sleep in comfort - the Doll Bed comes with its own mattress and bedding. It's $75 and comes in 2 different colors.

We're dying to take a peek into these gorgeous children's rooms. Each book features children's rooms from a differnet country. $25 each.

Check out all the goodies: Pomme

I clicked on the parking garage link before I opened this up, thinking, "Wow, my son would love that."

Then I saw the price.

$425? For real? Does it come with $375 dollars stuffed inside? Or a brick of gold taped to the parking garage roof?

Amen, Birdy. I did the same double-take. $450 dollars for a child's toy is simply absurd.

$425? seriously? that's ridiculous.

It looks like these toys are made in Switzerland: crazy labor cost, crazy exchange rate, and expensive material too. I would never buy a Hermes bag or a Bugaboo (or a Momoll garage, for that matter), but I don't think their price point is absurd. If you can afford it, good for you.

My son's getting this parking garage for Christmas:

I see Stef's point. Swiss folks need jobs, too. Unfortunately, I don't have enough money to help create those jobs, but all the power to those who do. :)

The Plan Toys garage is really cute. I love their stuff.
