Cupcake Flags
How to

2009-11-cakeflags.jpg

Maybe you're handy with a piping bag or fondant, but our cupcake decorating skills are about par with a kindergartner's which is why we like a simple embellishment like a cupcake flag.

These nifty orange ones were made by Little Paper Dog to celebrate her shop's first anniversary (you can download them here), but you can really use any paper you like. Choose decorative paper, wrapping paper, plain paper that you stamp or otherwise embellish or even use up fabric scraps, felt pieces or ribbon. Simply cut your little flags and affix them with glue to toothpicks - voila!

I like to use a glue stick on the inside of the pennant and wrap it around a longer craft stick. (I get mine in hobby stores and craft stores.)
