Wastebaskets need not be boring! We just received the latest flyers from the Container Store in the mail, and they had some fun stuff in there. If you want your kids to actually clean up and throw garbage away, one of these cans may just be the way to do it.
These animal swing-lid cans are only $9.99 and would also be a great place to store small toys like legos or blocks.
We also liked this day-dreamer wastebasket for the kids' room. The colors and design (dots or stripes) fit right in with a lot of today's modern nursery furniture. Forget about a boring trash can- for $11.99- you can have a "day-dreamer". We don't see why you couldn't also use these for extra storage.
If you prefer something a little bit more minimalist- the Silver Metalla Cans from Umbra might do just the trick. They're made of a unique metallized foil laminate over plastic, and their bright interior adds a bit of fun.
