Without having to use an electrical outlet, you also greatly reduce the risk of fires. They come with rechargeable batteries and a stake that you just push into the ground. Available here.

I LOVE the idea of these but wonder if there is enough sunlight available during a mid-western winter day to actually power the lights. They seem perfect for my parents in Florida, but here in Cowtown? Anyone using these--will they work here?
